Why is that?
After you begin to talk about the abuse, learn to express your feelings safely, and connect with your mind/body/spirit, it’s time to take the next step on your healing journey.
Your body absorbs more information than you’re consciously ready to receive. You might not remember everything that happened to you. But your body remembers. It’s a storehouse for all the trauma and stress you’ve ever experienced.
Now that you’ve come this far on your healing journey, it’s time to acknowledge that stored trauma and release it. This is the last big step, the “final frontier.”
Fortunately, you can heal your body without reliving those painful memories. Tension is just energy. It needs to be gently felt and released. When that happens, the body is free to heal itself. It will regenerate and replace stored trauma with feelings of love, safety, and acceptance.
Taking the last big step in the healing journey requires a loving approach to your body. When you’re compassionate with your body, you’ll be compassionate with others. When you’re gentle with your body, you’ll be gentle with others.
Love is a lifestyle choice, and it begins with how you treat your body. Love for ourselves, love for others, love for God, God’s love for us. This connection is all that truly matters in life. Begin to experience it today. It’s wonderful!
